What’s your favourite spot in FFM?: Deutschherrnbrücke

When did it become your favourite spot?: It became my favourite spot in 2016 when I was sitting on the bridge having a drink with my friend and enjoying the view. Ever since I went there by myself or with dates and enjoyed the view by day or by night.

How did you discover it?: When taking a walk at the Main through Frankfurt

How often do you visit it?: Not regularly but definitely a few times a year.

What do you like doing there?: I like listening to the sound installation and the trains passing by. I like to watch the skyline and the river

Why do you love this spot? What makes it special to you?: I like its industrial aesthetics and that it’s simultaneously right in the city and outside. And by being a bridge it’s a liminal space not being actually part of the city but above water just watching the city, while it connects. Being on this bridge gives me a calm feeling even though it’s loud and you still feel the chaos of the city

Seit wann ist das Dein Lieblingsort?: Er wurde 2016 mein Lieblingsplatz, als ich mit meinem Freund auf der Brücke saß, etwas trank und die Aussicht genoss. Seitdem bin ich alleine oder mit Dates dorthin gegangen und habe die Aussicht bei Tag oder bei Nacht genossen

Wie hast Du ihn entdeckt?: Bei einem Spaziergang am Mainufer durch Frankfurt

Wie oft besuchst Du Deinen Lieblingsort?: Nicht regelmäßig, aber auf jeden Fall ein paar Mal im Jahr

Was machst Du dort gerne?: Ich höre gerne der Klanginstallation und den vorbeifahrenden Zügen zu. Ich schaue mir gerne die Skyline und den Fluss an

Warum liebst Du diesen Ort? Was macht ihn für Dich so besonders?: Ich mag seine industrielle Ästhetik und das sowohl mitten in der Stadt als auch außerhalb. Und da es sich um eine Brücke handelt, ist es ein Grenzraum, der nicht wirklich Teil der Stadt ist, sondern über Wasser liegt und einfach die Stadt beobachtet, während sie sich verbindet. Auf dieser Brücke zu sein gibt mir ein ruhiges Gefühl, obwohl es laut ist und ich immer noch das Chaos der Stadt spüre

What do you like doing there?: Sit by the Main and drink beer, go for a walk, Lola Montez is there too

Why do you love this spot? What makes it special to you?: I think this place is very typical Frankfurt: cozy and urban, green, right by the water, and features of a big city everywhere in the background (tall buildings, steel, harbour)

Warum liebst Du diesen Ort? Was macht ihn für Dich so besonders?: Ich finde dieser Ort ist sehr typisch Frankfurt: gemütlich und urban, direkt am Wasser etwas begrünt und im Hintergrund überall Merkmale einer Großstadt (hohe Häuser, Stahl, Hafen)
